iPhone Apps for Youth Workers

Two weeks ago I took the plunge and got an iPhone 3GS. Frustrated with my previous smartphone, I had high hopes for the iPhone. The iPhone, with it’s plethora of free and paid apps, is a great productivity tool for youth pastors. It can help you stay connected to students, keep track of finances, instantly write down sermon or game ideas, and even keep you from getting lost on your retreat.
Here is a list of my top 5 apps for the iPhone:
- Evernote (see my review)
- Mint (keep track of finances)
- Things (Project tracker and to-do list)
- Bible (from LifeChurch.tv)
- TwitterFon (best free Twitter app)
For more must-have apps, check out Adam’s screenshots of his apps. Also take a look at 14 Must-Have iPhone Apps and Gizmodo’s 20 Essential iPhone Apps.

Great post. I’m going to download at least 4 of these when I get home even though I’m not in youth ministry, but I feel this will help even my current (adult) ministry. I prefer TweetDeck, but that’s just me.
I am trying TweetDeck right now… think it might be a winner!
